In Phase 2, we will continue to build on all the principles you learned in the first 6 weeks, but now it's time to take it up a notch! 

Think about the progress you've made to date. What changes have worked well for you?  What has not worked so well? In Phase 2 I want to challenge you to think about the types of changes you might like to make moving forward. What goals do you want to achieve in the next 6 weeks?
As some of the new habits you've established start to become second nature, it's time to expand our focus from what and how much we eat, to why we eat. In Phase 2 we will delve into emotional eating. We will explore strategies to enhance mindfulness and why eating is a legitimate coping strategy for many of us. We will discuss how eating well is part of good self care, and can help you feel more in control of your health and enhance your overall sense of well being. You will also learn about how to make healthier choices when eating out, how to prepare quick healthy meals (when you have no time to cook),  and much more!

SMART GOALS

One of the strongest predictors of long-term success in changing your habits is starting with the right goal.

When it comes to weight loss, the process of developing healthy habits is just as important as the outcome itself. Creating goals that are specific and measurable will help you articulate exactly what you will do, in order to reach your goal. Your goals should focus on some small change in your actions, habits or behaviours that will help you reach your big goal (e.g. lose 5 kg).    ​

Realistic, well-planned goals will help keep you focused and motivated. They provide a plan for change as you transition to a healthier lifestyle.

As you work towards achieving your big goal, tracking your progress is great way to help you stay motivated and it increases your accountability. Each week you will be required to login and track your progress. 

Looking back over what you've already accomplished can serve as an important source of inspiration on days when you need that extra push.
