My StoryWhen I first started my work as a Registered Dietitian more than 20+ years ago, I believed that food and weight were simply a matter of energy balance—eat less, move more.
That’s what I was taught—and for years, that’s what I taught others. But as I worked with more women, I noticed a pattern… Even those who knew exactly what to eat—women who cared deeply about their health and tried their hardest—kept getting pulled back into cycles of restricting and overeating. Meal plans didn’t fix it. Healthy recipes didn’t fix it. More discipline, more restriction, and more self-criticism certainly didn’t fix it. |
