As you make changes and adopt healthier habits, you will slowly begin to see the results of your hard work pay off. You will begin to feel happier and more confident. You may even feel inspired to begin making changes in other areas of your life.
PROCESS OF CHANGE
Change is a process, that takes time, patience and perserverance. As you work towards your goal, you may experience adversity and set backs along the way. Sometimes you'll feel happy and confidence in your choices. At other times you may feel discouraged, vulnerable, even frustrated.
Regardless of where you are in wanting to create change in your life, remind yourself that the process of developing healthier habits is just as important as the outcome itself. If you reach your goal without truely changing your habits, the results you achieve will only be temporary. Before long you will be right back where you started.
Motivation for change is very personal, but what we all have in common is that we need support and encouragement along the way. Look for inspiration all around you. An old photo, a song, an objective, someone's personal story or a quote can all serve as inspiration.
