Baked Pear with Maple and Cinnamon
These baked pears can be a sweet and simple dessert. Serve them on their own or try them topped with a scoop of coconut yogurt, cream, nuts or even granola.
INGREDIENTS
Ripe pears, cut in half, core removed
1/2 tsp pure maple syrup (per pear)
pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Optional Toppings
15 mL cream, crème fraîche or coconut yogurt
Chopped nuts (try walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds or pistachios)

INSTRUCTIONS
- Pre-heat oven to 350F (180C)
- Slice the pears in half and gently scoop out the core. Drizzle each half with maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake on a baking pan or in an oven-proof dish until soft and tender, about 25-30 minutes.
- Top with a spoonful of cream, and/or your favourite chopped nuts.
